Now in its 19th year, the Chief Learning Officer and Chief Talent Officer (CLO/CTO) Breakfast Club event series continues to connect leaders over breakfast to strengthen the link between L&D, talent management and business strategy.
In 2022, we introduced a new format to this popular series hosted by Chief Learning Officer and Chief Talent Officer. The format features regular virtual mini-events starring top learning and talent leaders. In response to the incredible reception of 2022, we are pleased to continue this format this year.
Each mini-event lasts about two hours and consists of a 60-minute panel discussion with L&D and talent practitioners, a 20-minute FASTtalk presentation and a 20-minute research segment, garnering real-time data from attendees and prompting discussion of the day's themes, followed by closing remarks from Chief Learning Officer and Chief Talent Officer's editorial staff.
Being Mindful with Metrics
10:00 AM CST
Today’s remote workforces have emphasized and accelerated the need for and use of objective metrics in assessing and managing employee performance. But, according to BetterWork Media Group's "2024 Future Role of the CLO" report, while measurement and analytics was among the top competencies CLOs needed in 2024, the No. 2 competency they felt least prepared for was working with metrics/ROI. In fact, only 8.4 percent of CLOs said they felt prepared to manage using measurement/analytics.
Join CLO for this conversation on developing and using well-planned measurement and reporting strategies to demonstrate L&D outcomes, as well as how to modify existing learning metrics to better align with organizational metrics.

Coaching has historically been an offering limited largely to top-level executives, emerging leaders and those in need of remediation. But embedding coaching practices across all levels of an organization and ensuring it’s accessible to every employee, not just top leadership, can help create a culture of continuous development, empowering employees at all stages of their careers to receive personalized feedback, enhance their skills, and grow personally and professionally.
Join Chief Learning Officer for a look at how coaching can be democratized by embedding it at every level of an organization, formally and informally, ultimately fostering inclusivity, accelerating talent development and helping break down hierarchical barriers.

Growing Skills with a Commercial Mindset

As CLOs strive to equip their workforce with the skills needed for an uncertain future, helping individuals establish a commercial mindset — or allowing them to clearly see how their work aligns with business objectives and serves the end goal — can be a driving force in employee motivation and engagement. It's not just about having the skills to do one's job well; it's about each individual contributing collectively to the success and goals of the business.
Join this Chief Learning Officer Breakfast Club to hear from leaders who are executing this effort in their own firms, ensuring that the work of their learners is in furtherance of corporate objectives.
